The key is moderation; basically using just a bit. That being said, I have half a dozen lavender plants because if it's done right...it's wonderful.

Re: Take a Shot of Relax

anxietol 7 works great. it's a pill, with a lot of the same ingredients as those drinks, but maybe the time it takes to break down the pills is a little more slow, and then not head-dropping.

Re: Milk-Thistle Fancy Water Made Lips Tingle

you know it depends upon you, you will believe on it if you already tried it, i pretty assure that it is great in our immune system because it is really a beneficial one,,

Re: Milk-Thistle Fancy Water Made Lips Tingle

nice one

Re: Love For Pliny The Elder

I found it in fort collins at Cafe Vino

Re: Zin Tasting = Blackberry Shrapnel

I discovered this wine one wine.woot.com a couple years ago. However if you want to sleep down the whole thing. Frozen cherries and chia seeds. Sign me up. I bought the $400 VitaMix at Costco. After standing there with my mouth agape for an hour, I was sold when they threw entire fruits and veggies in there and made ice cream thanks to its unbridled power. I went home and took a shower. Psychological - perhaps. I couldn't bring myself to say outloud "I just bought a $400 blender." So, I took it back. Now I'm regretting it. I want one of those power blenders so I can add spinach to my shakes and not even know it. I'll toss back a non alcoholic beverage with you and Annie anytime.

Re: New Coffee Cart Welcome on 16th Street

Grabbed a wet capp from them today. I agree- I was in the member's entrance line for the Thursday session and the ratio was probably about 2:3 of women to men. I met lots of great ladies at the festival but my favorite was Rose Ann Finkel, co owner of Pike Brewing Co, all up in the mix and pouring her and Charles' beers.

Oh, and, along with Micki and myself, 7 of the 12 contributors for Ladiesocb.com were at GABF from random parts of the country. That's more than half of us and thousands of miles. Just for beer. Who knew?

Cheers!

Stevie Caldarola
President
Ladies of Craft Beer

Re: Annual Beery Lad-Fest Had Its Moments

I disagree with your point that this is a "man-heavy" event. As a GABF volunteer I can honestly say I served an equal amount of women to men. And I was at Odell Brewing Co.'s booth which not only offered pale ales, but a lambec, bourbon stout and double IPA. I was surprised by how many women chose the bourbon barrel stout. And yes, I did get one woman (albeit she was cougar-looking with botox lips) to ask "What would a girl like?" of the beer selections. To which I aptly replied, "Everything."

Women craft beer drinkers are growing exponentially. Case in point: Check out the newly established Ladies of Craft Bear website: http://www.ladiesocb.com and on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/LadiesO.... Women are also behind the scenes as brewers and CEOs of beer companies, such as Kim Jordan of New Belgium Brewing Co.

If you take a minute to look, research or even ask a gal if she likes craft beer, you'll find that beer isn't all about beards and bellies, there's boobs, too.

Re: Loco for Coconut Water

yes i agree Zico is not half as good as Vita Coco.

The wine I'd like to send you is the 2008 Jordan Chardonnay. Applejack's sells the previous vintage for $25.99, and Colorado should be transitioning to 2008 vintage shortly.

Let me know if you'd like to try it and where we should ship.

Best,
Thanks for introducing me to Matchbook. I live near Russian River but have never tried it. I look forward to checking it out.
I've read a few of your Chardonnay columns (also Montelena) and have been wanting to reach out to you. We have a minerally, non-buttery Chardonnay I would be interested in getting your thoughts on since you have such a long history with the varietal.
Best,
Lisa Mattson
